Slate containing asbestos was widely used as roofing and exterior wall materials in various factories, warehouses, homes, and station buildings until the complete ban on the manufacture of asbestos-containing products in October 2004. However, prolonged exposure to wind and rain, as well as environmental issues such as acid rain and air pollutants, have led to surface deterioration. This deterioration has caused the cement that binds the asbestos to degrade, raising concerns about the dispersion of asbestos, which has become a social issue, and urgent responses and measures are required. Therefore, our company has developed a system that restores contaminated or deteriorated slate to a bending strength comparable to new, while also preventing any moisture penetration, thereby significantly prolonging the lifespan of the slate and preventing the dispersion of asbestos.
